Location: Lehi,UT,USA Member Since: Jan 08, 2010 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: PR Marathon Top of Utah Marathon-full (4:04:00) I can do better....I know it. Ogden Half Marathon (1:48:00) I only like to brag THAT one because my baby was only 8 weeks old. :) PR 10k 48:10 PR 5k 22:05 Short-Term Running Goals: In this next year I hope to qualify for Boston. I am hoping to get into the St. George Marathon and qualify there. If I don't get into that race, I will run The Top of Utah Marathon, and Qualify there. And then of course after that....run Boston. THAT is my "gold medal". And I am ready to do what it takes to get there. I am also currently signed up for the Ogden Half Marathon this May. I want to get around 1:35:00. I know, that is a min per mile faster than my last time running it, but I had just had a baby, and I am sure with proper training, I can do it. Oh, and I REALLY want to place in a race. Okay I guess with my last 5k I got a pie, but I want more than a pie. Long-Term Running Goals: Run forever. I want to be 90 yrs old and still running. I want my kids to run with me. I want to run races and marathons all over the world. Personal: I am married to my High School sweetheart. We have 3 kids, 2 very active boys, and the most beautiful baby girl in the whole world. I am actually pretty new to running. I have only been running for 2 1/2 years and for 9 mos of that I was pregnant with #3. I ran the entire time I was pregnant. I did races as well including 3 half marathons in one month. I kept in great shape. I ran my first marathon in May 2008. The Ogden Marathon, and one of the best out there. I think I freaked myself out about it though, as I was sicker than a dog when I ran it. So, I was way slower than I had trained. But I finished, and that is what mattered. I still loved it. Since then i have run so many races I cannot count them, 5k, 10k, half marathons, and one more Marathon. I wanted to run the Ogden Full again last year, but I had just had my baby (she was 8 weeks old) so I stuck with the half. I was really happy with my time considering how much training I had NOT done. :) Then I ran The Top of Utah Marathon this last fall. I was happy with my time, knowing that I did well, but also knowing that I could do even better and qualify for Boston one day. So that is where I am at now. Wanting to get faster, wanting to place in some race, wanting to push myself that much more and do what it takes to get my butt to Boston. So all you amazing runners out there.....what do I do? |
